About Adam James Wakeling
Having been in some bands in the early years, I have since been mainly solo. I have produced a number of relaxation CDs for the mind, body and spirit market, which are still being streamed today.
In 2007, I completed a diploma in “Media Composition” with “Music for the media”, where I learnt how to create music for film.
In 2010, I recorded and produced a rock/metal instrumental album called “Wrath of the Titans”, which had a spell on the streaming platforms and sold a few CDs. It also had a review in Classic Rock magazine at the time. One of the tracks is a version of Handel’s Sarabande, which has had a lot of views on YouTube.
I have composed music for two theatrical shows, “King Arthur” (2009) and “The Three Musketeers” (2014), which is predominantly orchestral/classical music.
I have recently created “Dark Centauri”, the vehicle for my newest songs. The EP “Welcome, Mr Hyde” was launched this year on streaming platforms. All the instruments and vocals are by myself, but I intend to form “Dark Centauri” as a band.
From my home studio, I dedicate my time to both composing and recording. Although I play several instruments, my main passion rests with the guitar.
I have many influences, including Jeff Wayne, Metallica, Queen, AC-DC, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and not to mention Mozart, Handel, Beethoven, Holst, Orff, etc. My interest in music for film is inspired by the likes of Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, John Williams, etc, from movies such as Gladiator and Lord of the Rings. The influences could go on…
