About Daniel Meade

Daniel Meade is a songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland, with a back catalogue rich in roots, country, rock n roll, folk and indie music.

He has toured and worked with acts like The Proclaimers, Ocean Colour Scene, Sturgill Simpson, Old Crow Medicine Show (who invited him to make an album in Nashville in 2014), Diana Jones, Pokey LaFarge, Willie Watson, Dom Flemons and Robbie Fulks.

He has performed all over Europe on many occasions, both as a headline and support act.

His songs have been played by presenters such as Mark Lamarr, Cerys Matthews and Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2, and his songs are regulars on localised BBC Scotland shows like The Roddy Hart Show and The Afternoon Show, not to mention countless podcasts and smaller radio stations around the world. He’s performed sessions for many coveted BBC radio shows such as The Quay Sessions, BBC Introducing, Another Country With Ricky Ross, BBC at The Quay, and The Afternoon Show with Grant Stott.

He is also a session musician and currently plays keys for Ocean Colour Scene & Gerry Cinnamon.
