Brian Gallagher

Brian Gallagher is a Canadian singer-songwriter/storyteller who effortlessly blends honest emotional depth with charismatic stage presence. Awarded or recognized in songwriting competitions worldwide, his 2025 album “Wasted Years” is nominated for “Album of the year” and his single “Manitoba Love” is nominated for single of the year by the prestigious International Singer-Songwriter’s Association. “Manitoba Love” was also a top 10 finalist for “Folk Song of the Year” in the 2025 World Songwriting Awards. He was a juror for the 2025 Ottawa “Capital Music Awards” and is for the 2026 Canadian Folk Awards and Folk Canada awards.

He started out in 2008 as the songwriter/guitarist for the award-winning Canadian band “Happenstance” however after three studio albums they disbanded and he than began his solo career, with 4 albums to date and two compilation albums with Canadian and US artists. His new project with producer Dan Legault, “Streetlight Embers” features guest musicians from all over the Montreal area.

His Canadian east-coast roots combined with his storytelling through song have made his “Gallagher” shows an emotional and touching experience for audiences everywhere.
