Kelvin McKisic

I started my musical path playing the violin but got kicked out of music class…had a foul mouth. Then, at the age of 16 I took up the drums and studied hard, learning to play drums and reading sheet music. While in High school I took up the trombone, later playing in the marching band.

I studied electrical engineering with a minor in music in college, but I didn’t do much with my musical training until I turned 56, where I started composing songs for fun. Before that I would transcribe songs just for the fun of it. It was when I turned 64 that I decided to have my musical compositions published, and that is where I am today, with my previous compositions published and continuing to write new stuff, with my musical compositions varying between: Jazz, R&B Soul, Pop, and Christian music.
