Scott Clark

Hello, my name is Scott Clark. I am a musician from Newcastle upon Tyne in England. I play guitar primarily as well as bass. I’m currently in my final year of a music degree at Newcastle College. Over the last ten years I have played in various bands in Newcastle and Edinburgh, and I have recently started writing and recording my own music.

I create mostly instrumental music, covering genres such as electronic, ambient, hip-hop, synth-pop and trip-hop. I also like to experiment with Jazz and Blues music. My instrumentals are inspired and influenced by artists linked to the Stones Throw record label such as J Dill, MNDSGN and Iman Omari.

As a guitarist I have played and explored a wide variety of styles such as Funk, Pop, Rock, Jazz and Blues. I have been influenced by many genres and styles and I am always looking to expand my musical tastes and knowledge.

I really enjoy composing and working to a brief. Writing music for adverts and films is something that really interests me. So far, I have composed three pieces for briefs including music for a fashion brand, an aftershave advert and a film scene. I aim to develop my skills as a composer and producer.
